According to General Motors, the Regal GS is officially the fastest Buick ever made. Development engineer to lead the sedan, Bill Rietow, Powertrain and quality engineer drives, John Townsend, did their part to support the assertion, when he executed the Regal GS in Nevada Open Road Challenge. The event are not all-out speed, but of a pilot finished the course in a preset time. He has limited speed and wide open sections, and a flat-out during the Regal GS has hit 162 mph.
