Despite the fact that the Smart ForTwo was pretty much a flop here in the U.S. (and understandably), we Americans are slowly but surely warming up to the Smart city car small. The Fiat 500, which got off to a slow start, is gaining traction; Scion iQ is pushing its tiny in all markets, and General Motors has just opened its doors on Chevrolet Spark But until widespread success in this segment is firmly record. GM designer Lyon bails just days before taking over Opel/Vauxhall

Dave Lyon will not be taking over as head of Opel and Vauxhall for the design, after all, the Detroit Free Press reported, General Motors, the designer has left abruptly last week for unknown reasons, a few days before he had to enter his new role. The defection is the latest in a series of management problems, the two brands. Earlier this month, Opel CEO Karl-Friedrich Stracke party to take other positions within GM, opening the door to get into the role of Steve Girsky for the moment. Continue reading
