Kia has officially abandoned the new teaser for its Chicago-bound concept Track’Ster. Word has the hatch will be largely based on the company Soul five-door, albeit with some important changes. To begin, the designers demolished the rear doors for more than a hot hatch look. A new front fascia seems to be part of the recipe as well, and chances are the wheels will rock Track’Ster suitably outrageous, typical of a true concept.
But it came to production? It ‘s hard to say. As you may recall, the Soul has been a favorite go-to platform as a concept in the past. Kia showed off the beach during Soul’ster concept at the Detroit Auto Show 2009, and generated enormous buzz when the vehicle, the economic downturn put an end to any production plans. Yet, with corporate cousin Hyundai Veloster swing, there may be room in the barn door Kia for a performance.
