The automotive industry tends to work by certain rules and patterns. For example, the time of a model is ready to be removed, we usually have a pretty good idea of ??how and when its replacement promises to appear. But Bugatti, of course, is not a typical car manufacturer.
Hector built a house that has, over the past seven years, subsisted on the Veyron alone. Do not get us wrong, it’s a hell of a car around which to build a brand, but will not be forever. In fact, Bugatti Veyron announced some time ago that the production was running its course and close to its end. The open over Grand Sport, as it turns out that outside of the original allotment, but that is approaching the end of his road.
So you can imagine our surprise when Ricardo, the company that produces the seven-speed dual clutch for the Veyron, announced today that it has extended its contract with the Bugatti for another two years. That would be quite simple if there were cars Bugatti What would be the installation of such transmissions, but as we have already established, the sole product of the brand is approaching the end of its life cycle, with no replacement in sight.
So where are these programs going? There can be only a couple of explanations. One is that Bugatti Veyron is planning to expand production with another derivative – probably the Super Grand Sport which is expected to combine the removable roof panel on the Grand Sport with the most powerful engine and body of the Super Sport. Another is that the Galibier – a four-door sedan on site super-Bugatti in Molsheim, France HQ – is closer than previously expected, but that model is expected to move to a different type of transmission entirely.
