If you are wondering about the future of Ford engines, the Los Angeles Auto Show 2011 Ford Escape and 2013 should provide the clues needed. The entry-level crossover is equipped with a pair of four-cylinder EcoBoost V6 and options exactly zero.
The move only 1.6 liters smaller EcoBoost, promises and terrific fuel economy and performance. This engine is the most economical engine in flight, but if you reside under the hood of something much smaller? This is where the concept comes into play Fiesta ST. The performance-oriented Focus is on display at the exhibition in Los Angeles, Ford, and even if it is a show car, for now, this B-segment hatch looks ready for production.
Ford says that in this application, the 1.6-liter EcoBoost delivers 180 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque – an enormous 60 horses more than in the naturally aspirated 1.6 Fiesta garden-variety production. Since the Fiesta base is only 2.600 pounds, we’re guessing 180 hp is more than enough punch to turn the Fiesta in a heck of a fun ride.
