Chrysler to replace Dodge Challenger with Barracuda?

Motor Trend reports that Chrysler may leave for a Dodge Challenger Barracuda risen. The magazine cites two unnamed sources, says the label will emerge in time to celebrate the 50 anniversary of the vehicle in 2014. If true, the Barracuda wants to drive on a new platform that is slightly smaller and more suited to compete with the likes of the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro. The bones of the vehicle will likely be shared with Alfa Romeo, which means a turbocharged four-cylinder can show behind the headlights as well as a fire-breathing V8 Barracuda. MT proposed design can pull from the original Barracuda fastback, though a notch-back version would allow Chrysler to compete more effectively against the drop-top hardware from Ford and Chevrolet.
