Chevrolet Trax crossover headed to Paris, not bound for U.S.

If you are wondering why the Trax name sounds familiar, it’s because we’ve heard before. That’s right, the concept chunky General Motors ‘crossover CUV little has blossomed in the production you see here, and we might say, it’s pretty good deal’.

Details on the new Trax are scarce, but since that seems to be based on the same high-drive platform derived from that Sonic supports the Buick and Opel Encore mocha, so we expect the engines to bring just above unchanged.

But know this: General Motors does not plan to offer the Trax in the United States, citing “the strong position of the Equinox” as the reason why it will not be offered Stateside. It ‘a shame, too. In our opinion, this certainly makes sense that the smaller bow Encore frumpy Buick that does not really seem to fit with its brand. We suspect that Chevrolet dealers will not get this car in part because GM wants to protect the position of the Buick and when the price goes to U.S. dealers by the end of the year.
