Despite the fact that the Smart ForTwo was pretty much a flop here in the U.S. (and understandably), we Americans are slowly but surely warming up to the Smart city car small. The Fiat 500, which got off to a slow start, is gaining traction; Scion iQ is pushing its tiny in all markets, and General Motors has just opened its doors on Chevrolet Spark But until widespread success in this segment is firmly record. It is no secret that car manufacturers are reluctant to bring their small offers E ‘one thing to import hundreds of thousands of dollars supercar, but when you’re trying to compete with a product with a low price-point, the additional costs to ‘import only hurt the business case.
