Automotive News reports is to delay delivery of its Opel Ampera extended-range hybrid customers. The plug-in gas-electric sedans accident have already arrived at dealers across Europe, but the automaker wants to make sure the batteries of the vehicles’ are safe even in case of a file. The delay comes on the heels of a national evaluation Highway Traffic Safety Administration, which has seen its Chevrolet Volt twins caught fire three weeks after a series of crash tests.
