In what could be my final time to revise a current generation Mazda MX-5 Miata, I have to say it was bittersweet to say goodbye to an old friend. You see, the third-generation Miata (NC) is my favorite iteration of the roadster bit ‘of fun, and with the next phase of Miata developed in collaboration with Alfa Romeo, I am afraid that the machine might lose some of the “Jinba Ittai” which made it incredible track car for the last 23 years. My aversion to the famous American sports car has nothing to do with its immensely powerful ten-cylinder or its Matchbox-like style – these attributes are really catchy.
