Alain Prost wins Andros Trophy in Dacia Lodgy Glace
A minivan is not what one would expect to see a winning race. Nor like a budget brand Dacia. That’s where Alain Prost on the scene.
The four-time World Champion Formula One is not completely retired: he still racing in the Andros Trophy ice-racing series in France. After lifting the trophy twice in a row with the snow-spec rally car Toyota Auris, applause goes to a Dacia, for which he claimed his third title and the first solo for the brand Renault’s Romanian budget.
The fight for the title came down to the last race in Auvergne, France, where the natural snow and the best efforts of the organizers of the race could not be separated Prost (or his son Nicolas) from the runway naked. The vehicle in which he did it was a new driver (loosely) based on the Lodgy new MPV which makes its production debut until the Geneva Motor Show theupcoming.
