BMW has treated high-performance X6 M with an update for the 2013 model year, the controversial bad boy rolled over the New York Auto Show for its first official appearance. Unfortunately, the changes are so subtle that we requested BMW’s official tour guide to point them out. In place of such service for each of our readers, the next paragraph will suffice.
The most obvious is cap ‘crowning’ the new, borrowed from the now defunct BMW X6 ActiveHybrid. Less visible are the cosmetic changes to the BMW kidney grille with the signature and the new optional LED headlamps (HID lamps remain active as standard). Peer inside the 20-inch wheels painted to identify the pliers, now a distinct “M” (blue cars with optional carbon / ceramic brake calipers are made of gold). Finally, inside the cabin, BMW sports seats are now standard active.
