The 1961 Impala SS unveiled to mark the cutting line SS, the SS and its cars have found more than a million homes in that – examples such as this 1966 model helping the road. It is, however, that General Motors just managed to patent the designator SS April 13, 2012. Since the SS descriptor has historically shown a pattern of variation or equipment level, the distinctions that, apparently, normally does not justify trademark protection, the questions are why now, and for what?
The evidence would seem to lead to this being a designator model, not just a trim, and there were rumors that a civilian version of the Caprice police just want to hit the market and simply be called the SS But if this is the case, what would the prototype Impala hottest we’ve seen in spy photos to be appointed, and what – if anything – would happen to the SS trim available on other models Chevy?
